Ready to be matched with your perfect furry companion? Here are some things to know about the puppy application process:
1. The first step is to contact us and let us know you're interested in a puppy. We will let you know about upcoming litter dates, waitlists, and any other info to get you ready.
2. You'll fill out an application (we will send this to you). This application helps us understand your lifestyle, needs, experience, and desires. There are no right or wrong answers. This will help us know how to match you with the right pup.
3. Once we receive your application, we will reach out to confirm and make a reservation for you for an upcoming litter.
4. To reserve a puppy, you will need to submit a $500 deposit (via Venmo or CashApp) which will be counted toward the total fee for your puppy. This deposit is non-refundable and ensures we can count on your commitment to the pup.
5. When the puppies from the upcoming litter are born, we get to know them and try to pair them with our reserved families, considering temperament, gender, and coat color. All pairs are done virtually, and this works exceedingly well.
6. We send updates to you via text message or email with photos and videos of your pup. We care for them and prepare them to go home with you.
7. At 8-10 weeks of age, your puppy is ready to go home with you!
Common Questions About Puppy Selection
We are committed to the health of our puppies. Newborn pups are particularly susceptible to PARVO and other diseases that can easily be carried in by visitors. For that reason, no visitors are permitted with the puppies outside our immediate family. You won't be able to select your pup in person for this reason, but we find that virtual selections work great! We know our puppies well, and our application process enables us to get to know you so we can make a perfect match.
We will deliver your puppy to you anywhere in the greater Sacramento area. Your pup will come home with their vaccinations completed, microchipped, socialized, and ready to bond with you. We send you home with a puppy welcome kit which includes some puppy food, a puppy collar, a toy, and a blanket with the puppy's mama's familiar smell. We will remain a resource for you and are happy to answer questions as your pup develops and grows.
